The kitchen is Done

Oh I am so happy its finally done, other then a few little things I am done.  Going to take some time off of working on it then I will get to the cupboards.

So here is the before.  The broken dishwasher that has not worked in two years.  Still have the cupboard knob plates on.

 Half way there.  The dishwasher gone, the microwave stand moved and the pegboard painted.  Also have the cupboard knob plates gone. no more hitting them and braking nails.

Okay so the pegboard is up and running.  Love it No more bending to get them.

All the main bowls are in out in the open and the sugar and tea are moved for more room.

As you see some shelves have been added
All I have left is cleaning the inside of the cupboards.  Not looking forward to that.  But now since I have moved everything making meals takes half the time.

You might want to look at your own kitchen to see if you need to make some changes.

Planning is the Key to organization

Planning is the Key to organization

I posted a question on the blog and facebook page, what would you like to see on the blog?  I got answers of dinner ideas and cleaning tips organizing, but first you need to be able organize.  Dinner ideas for the busy mom are easy for me( got three kids) but do you want easy or good?  I am going to start with some helpful hints on dinner ideas, can't use them all in the first go.  The first hint I can give you is plan, I know that sounds funny but its true when you know what your making, you have won half the battle.  The other half is the kids, how can you make dinner when you have kids under your feet?  Once again easy plan, plan and plan some more.  Think of making like getting ready to go somewhere ,  you need to make sure you have everything before you can leave, same goes for dinner.  you plan outing around nap and play time, do the same with dinner when the kids go for a nap wash and peel cut and put in water.  Then when they are older when they are playing they don't always want to with you, so there is a good time to go.  Now all the prep work is done.  Time to cook.   Highchairs are good for more then eating in, they are great for colouring, painting and playing with blocks.  They are at eye level so you can see where they are and they can see you so they spend more time playing then crying.  Or there are there swings or jumpers.  Most of they time they just want to see and talk to you and we all now woman can do more then one thing at once, cook and talk oh I think we can do that.  There are so many more tips and hints for topic but I cant use them all at once.

So far all the work on the kitchen is starting to pay off, thanks to a great husband.  Got the dishwasher gone, cupboards washed and the knobs cleaned.  Here are some pictures please don't mind the mess.

Working

Looks like a rain day.

Good morning everyone!  hope you all are having a great week, I know sure am. 
Well today looks like its going to be a indoor day for us, but you never know the rain may stop.  Well I will be taking a day brake from working on the kitchen to working in the kitchen.  Got all the knobs and cupboards washed, that was a chore in it's own, but it is done.  I am just waiting on my husband to cap off the dishwasher and move it, then I can finish it all up from there.  Got the pegboard yesterday, just have to paint it.  Oh things are going along just nicely.  
Today is a bread making day for me.  Will be doing french bread and sub buns and thinking i might do hamburger buns to just to get them out of the way?  we'll see where the day take us.  There is one thing I might do today that is pizza pockets.  A couple months back I was reading one of my favourite blogs, and she was making them to freeze cuz she was about to have her baby and wanted to have some things in the freeze before her new one came.  They looked so good it makes me want to try to make them.

Busy Busy

Hello everyone,  sorry it has taken me so long to blog again.  It has been a busy few weeks for me.  My mother came to stay with us after her surgery, to make sure she was okay.  Everything went well with her and she is recovering nicely at home now.  I almost have all the canning done for the year, just a few more tomatoes and I will be done.  All the kids are great, Jonathan is doing good in school as far this year no trouble yet.  Nathan is doing great talking up a storm these no stopping that boy, and hes not doing to bad in school this year too.  Katie Miss Katie well she is being herself the diva queen, but doing well.  They kids have all picked out there costumes for Halloween night, Katie will be Tinker bell, Nathan will be a Pirate and Jonathan will be a Ninja.  Just need to get the candy now then i will be done.

With me they have put me on a new Drug called Lyrica, and so far it is working I feel next to no pain.  It is a very nice change, I am able to do things with little to no pain.  Also take a class to help me learn to live my life with this.  The class is filled with some of the nicest woman so it makes it so much more easier to be there.  Also I will be off of work for the next weeks due to my hand. She thinks I have carpal tunnel in my right hand,  just one thing to add to the list.  So I will be using this time wisely and fixing the kitchen to fit my new needs.  Will be posting pictures of it as a go.  hopefully it will help some else who is having the same troubles.
